There are 5 essential tenets set by the founders that constitute the bedrock of the Lycée Amchit institution: integrity, intelligence, kindness, excellence, and open-mindedness.

For the short and long term, our mission is to educate. Our definition of education transcends the acquisition of content knowledge and the achievement of a skillset limited to academics. At Lycée Amchit, our vision of education extends to account for the essential role we play in shaping the minds of young individuals, in preparing them for success in an ever-complex world, in encouraging them to embrace their differences, and in supporting students’ unique learning needs. We strive to promote a teaching-learning environment that reflects the values we believe are the pillars of our educational vision, a vision where students are supported on a multi-dimensional level to pursue personal growth, explore their ambitions and aspirations, and reach their full potential. Our student-centered instructional approach puts the pupil front and center and learning is contingent upon the independent growth, freedom of expression, and interaction our educators encourage and praise. We believe that in educating students, education encompasses all that contributes to our students’ success in this dynamic and evolving world.

We readily accommodate to students’ needs through a collective effort to offer students’ a platform to voice their opinions, challenges, and learning preferences.

We provide a home for all students and do not discriminate based on sex, color, race, religion, nationality, or disability.

We actively fight bullying and encourage healthy mental and physical development and are consciously aware that without a comfortable environment and a peaceful mind, opportunities for learning are diminished.

We encourage pupils to embrace their differences, appreciate the uniqueness of such differences, and assist those who are facing challenges in doing so.

We stay up-to-date in the latest research-based teaching recommendations; from new instructional approaches to integrating technology in the classroom, we consider it our responsibility to introduce changes based on the latest developments in the field of education, while still adhering to the national Lebanese curriculum.

We actively communicate with and strongly rely on our teachers, students, and parents to sustain our family environment, and foster our educational mission.
